Pull My Daisy is the classic 1959 film featuring Jack Kerouac's improvised narration with a chamber music/jazz score composed by Kerouac's principal musical collaborator, David Amram, who also appears in the film.
Pull My Daisy was produced and directed by Robert Frank and Alfred Leslie, and Kerouac narrated the silent film spontaneously.
Composer David Amram wrote the score, as well as being a character in it at the request of Kerouac, and will be present at this rare in-person screening for a Q&A afterwards. Join us for a glimpse of the young Kerouac, Ginsberg, Amram. Larry Rivers, Gregory Corso and Alice Neel in this award-winning classic film.
